Performing Objects: Larry Miller, Bern Porter, Carolee Schneemann, 1993
Portfolio of 3 artworks with exhibition catalog
Edition of 1,200
This portfolio was the result of Performing Objects: Larry Miller, Bern Porter, Carolee
Schneemann, a 1993 exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Center. The exhibition, centered
around three Fluxus artists, placed a particular focus on process, concept, and research in favor of aesthetic concerns, often through the use of everyday objects. The portfolio includes an exhibition catalog essay written by curator Peter Huttinger, as well as works on paper from the three seminal artists included in the exhibition.
Larry Miller was born in 1944 in Marshall, MO. Bernard Harden “Bern” Porter was born in 1911 in Houlton, ME, and he died in 2004 in Belfast, ME. Carolee Schneemann was born in 1939, in Fox Chase, PA, and she died in 2019, New Paltz, NY.
